These workshops follow certain life skills principles which aim to better equip young people to make informed decisions in day-to-day life:

- Interpersonal relationship skills
- Self-awareness
- Empathy
- Coping with emotions
- Coping with stress
Our workshops are available in schools, universities, the workplace and migrant communities.
Schools
Compared with most developing countries, the percentage of school-aged children attending school in China is very high. This means that school can be an effective way to educate youth on this issue. With accurate information and enlightening messages about life choices, they will have a better chance of a bright future. We often use life skills as a way of educating children about HIV and AIDS as this way we are able to transfer knowledge and values into real action according to various circumstances.
Universities
Students in their adolescence seldom have the opportunity to consult adults who they trust about sex, drugs and AIDS. However these are problems that confuse them a lot and even threaten their healthy growth.
Workplace
Young people, especially recent graduates, are facing all kinds of challenges today. A lack of relevant education in personal, social and health education as well as limited life experience, leads many young people into risky situations which could be easily avoided. PTE designs these workshops to specifically help employers discuss issues more openly with young employees so that they can better deal with the challenges they face.
Migrant communities
Migrant communities are often socially discriminated against and feel culturally isolated in urban areas. The younger generations in these communities lack opportunities to many resources including access to education and healthcare. PTE, together with our NGO partners and volunteers, hopes to equip them with the necessary knowledge to live better.
